Stress

Stress is the body’s natural physical and mental reaction to today’s hectic life.  Stress hormones trigger your body’s “fight or flight” response: increasing your heart and breathing rates, constricting your blood vessels, and readying your muscles to respond to a perceived threat. Chronic stress can cause a variety of symptoms which can affect your overall well-being. Symptoms of chronic stress can include:

Vibrance Health will soon be offering meditation, breathing, and yoga classes.  Classes will be guided by Birgitta Nielsen, a certified yoga instructor who has recently returned from India where she studied Hatha and Yin yoga, meditation, pranayama (breath work) and Chakra balancing.  For many of our patients, a yoga and meditation practice can be the key to stress and anxiety relief and a path to good health.
